A group of role models from Anhui, Jilin, Jiangxi, Qinghai provinces and the Tibet autonomous region were invited by the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) to share their stories about helping themselves or people with disabilities out of poverty in Beijing on May 15.

The story sharing session was one of the events to welcome the 30th National Day for Helping the Disabled, which is celebrated on May 17, the third Sunday of May. Its theme this year is on poverty alleviation.
Zhang Haidi, chairwoman of the CDPF, communicated with them, saying that 2020 is a decisive year for eradicating poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. CDPF is always concerned about poverty-stricken disabled people, and will strive to help all the people with disabilities out of poverty so they can live a better life.
Zhang spoke highly of the role models helping themselves out of poverty through husbandry, forestation, e-commerce and guiding more people with disabilities to escape poverty with selfless dedication. She also called for their continuous efforts to reach the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

At the session, the theme song for this year's National Day for Helping the Disabled, Not One Less made its debut. The song was composed and sung by blind singer Jiang Can. Its lyrics, which were written by Zhang, reflect disabled people's longing for a beautiful life and their resolution to achieve moderate prosperity.
