During the13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), China's barrier-free environment construction entered a new era of rapid development.
The level of barrier-free construction for the physical environment, information, and services has been continuously improved. The coverage of barrier-free renovation for families with disabled members has been expanding, and awareness and concept of barrier-free have increased. Social participation in the construction of barrier-free environments has been greatly enhanced.
