Achievements for people with disabilities during the 13th Five-Year Plan: international cooperation on cause of people with disabilities under Belt and Road Initiative

The joint construction of the Belt and Road is an important starting point for China to improve its diplomatic strategic layout and jointly build a community of a shared future for mankind.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), the China Disabled Persons’ Federation seized the historic opportunity of Belt and Road construction, expanded regional cooperation and bilateral exchanges, and coordinated cooperation in disability affairs in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, enhancing the international influence of China's work for people with disabilities.

The barrier-free forum under the Belt and Road framework, co-sponsored by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and Tsinghua University, is held at the Beijing International Convention Center on Oct 11, 2020.
